Tullamore hotel's sustainability initiative raises €4,000 for Offaly Hospice

A Tullamore hotel had raised €4,000 for Offaly Hospice with their guest sustainability programme.

The Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore raised the money through their guest sustainability initiative, which encourages guests staying for more than one night to reuse their towels and/or opt out of daily room cleaning.

For every guest who participates, a contribution is made to Offaly Hospice, helping to support the vital services it provides throughout the county.

The programme has not only helped reduce water and energy consumption within the hotel but has also generated significant funding for one of the region's most valued charitable organisations.

"This initiative shows that sustainability and community support can go hand in hand," said Louise Lenaghan, Marketing Director.

"Our guests have embraced the programme wholeheartedly, and we are incredibly grateful for their support. Together, we have reduced our environmental impact while raising €4,000 for Offaly Hospice, a cause that means so much to so many families in our community."

The hotel added that the success of the initiative highlights the growing willingness of travellers to make environmentally conscious choices during their stay and demonstrates the positive impact that collective action can achieve.

The Bridge House Hotel extended its sincere thanks to all guests who participated and helped make this donation possible.
