Kilcormac community centre parking temporarily closes

The car parking facilities at Kilcormac Community Centre are to close for two weeks.

In a post on social media today (Monday, July 13), Kilcormac Development Association said the closure – due to begin from Tuesday - is to allow for the installation of the community centre's new roof. It added that the parking facilities will be closed for approximately two weeks.

'During this time, the community centre will be an active construction site. We kindly ask that people ensure children take extra care and stay away from the work area, as it may be dangerous,' the development association said.

It apologised for any inconvenience the closure may cause and thanked people for their patience and understanding while the 'essential improvement works are carried out'.

The installation of the new roof is the start of 'great and exciting times ahead for Kilcormac Community Centre', said the development association.

'This is fantastic news for our Community Centre and for the whole town, and we're delighted to see these important improvements getting underway. During the renovation works, some of our regular activities will be temporarily paused, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as the work is complete, with all of the activities and events that have kept our hall buzzing every day,' it added.
