GALLERY: Tullamore Camera Club captures tiny wonders and scenic views

Tullamore Camera Club members have showcased the beauty of an Offaly summer in their latest collection of photographs.

The gallery features David Gethings' striking image of Ballycowan Castle, while Celine Nic Oireachtaigh captures a meadow brown butterfly perched delicately on a thistle head.

Seán McKenna shot the Tippler Bridge sculpture at Lough Boora Discovery Park, and Joan McKenna captured baby shieldbugs in a detailed macro photograph.

Phil Brady photographed a sundew at Cavemount Bog, Rhode, while Mary O'Grady captures Lough Aisling, Edenderry. Completing the collection is Emil Cohrt's close-up image of a bee taken in the garden.

The club's next meeting will take place on Thursday, July 30, at 8pm in the Offaly History Centre, Bury Quay, Tullamore.

Renowned Westmeath photographer James Crombie will give a presentation, and new members and visitors are welcome to attend.

No previous photography experience is required.
