Annual Fianna Fáil think-in to be held in Tullamore in September

The Taoiseach and other prominent Fianna Fáil representatives will be descending on Offaly in September when the party is planning to hold its annual think-in in Tullamore ahead of the Dáil's return from its summer break.

It's believed the party gathering will be taking place in the county town on September 7 and 8.

The event is designed to help formulate strategy and decide on the party's priorities heading into the budget and the new Dáil term.

Fianna Fáil last think-in was held at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Douglas, Cork, in September of last year

Local Fianna Fáil TD Tony McCormack described Tullamore's hosting of the event this year as a boost for the county, adding that the timing was particularly significant given that it will occur during Ireland's hosting of the EU presidency.
