Tullamore Camera Club captivates with eclipse pictures

Making the most of a visible solar eclipse from Ireland, the Tullamore Camera Club members gathered to capture the rare natural phenomenon which will next happen in 2090 for Ireland.

The latest showcase by the club brings the various versions of the recently observed solar eclipse. The subject was viewed by the participating photographers with great enthusiasm. From a Pacman-like face to a half moon, to thin red sliver, the images capture the sun in its various phases and shades during the rare eclipse.

Despite the same subject, club members like Celine Nic Oireachtaigh, David Gethings, Phil Brady, Rosie Cummins, Seán McKenna, and Steve Byrne, brought their own flourish to the images, which look distinct from one another.

The club encourages enthusiasts to join and explore the nuances of photography, and also holds regular workshops and competitions. It meets the last Thursday of each month at the Offaly History Centre, Tullamore (R35 Y5V0). The next meeting takes place September 24, at 8pm. New members and visitors are always welcome, and no previous photography experience is required.
