New Edenderry history book to be launched

A new book of historical photographs and short essays will be launched by Edenderry Historical Society on Thursday, October 8, in Edenderry GAA.

Local historian and author, Mary Delaney of Bracknagh, will officially launch the book, which contains some 300 photographs and 19 essays.

The book, entitled Images of Edenderry, is the result of about ten years of hard work by the society and members of the Edenderry community in bringing these images to publication.

The essays, which range from sport to agriculture to education (and much more) shed new light on life in Edenderry in the 20th Century. All are welcome to attend the book launch. Images of Edenderry is priced at €20 and will also be available in local shops after the launch.
