Brennan brothers produce brilliant displays in Berlin
On Sunday last, September 27, Tullamore Harriers members and brothers Eoin and Michael Brennan were two of more than 56,000 runners from 162 countries who took on the 2026 Berlin Marathon.
Both Brennan brothers put in very impressive performances in Germany’s capital city. Eoin smashed his previous marathon personal best by five minutes, crossing the line in 2:37:06, and Michael also had a fantastic run, posting 2:48:28.
Two brilliant performances on the streets of Berlin where the weather was warm on the day.
Meanwhile, well done to the club’s athletes who competed in the Village Run in Ballylinan, Co. Laois on Sunday last. The event incorporated four distances - 5k, 10k, half marathon and 3/4 marathon.
In the 5K, Jack Marron was fourth overall and second junior in 18.08. Roisin O'Brien was second female in 22.34. Pat Kennedy also competed in the 5k, posting 25.16. In the half marathon, Mick O'Brien was second overall with an excellent time of 1.17.50.

7th November: Leinster Uneven Age & Senior Cross Country Championships – Curragh, Co. Kildare.
28th November: Leinster Mixed Relays & B Cross Country Championships – Stradbally, Co. Laois.
13th December: Offaly Senior Cross Country Championships – Kilcormac/Killoughey GAA.
20th December: Grand National Club Race - Tullamore Harriers.
25th December: Hospice Mile – Tullamore Harriers.
31st December: Round the Houses New Year’s Eve Club Race -Tullamore Harriers.
