New management to take over Tullamore Leisure Centre this December

A new management is set to take over Tullamore Leisure Centre this December.

Coral Leisure, a Leisure & Energy Management and Service Provider company managing nine pools and leisure centres, will take over the management of Tullamore Leisure Centre on Tuesday, December 1.

The centre will close for staff training on Tuesday, December 1, to Friday, December 4, and will reopen again on Saturday, December 5.

Speaking about the takeover, Coral Leisure Operations Director, David Moore, said: "We are incredibly excited to welcome the people of Tullamore and the wider region to the Coral Leisure family. Our team has already been working tirelessly to ensure everything is in place for a fantastic reopening.

"Tullamore Leisure Centre has always had a special place within the community, and we are committed to building on that legacy while creating an even better experience for every customer who walks through our doors."

Previous operator, Aura Leisure, have said it has been "a privilege to serve the community of Tullamore" over the past 20 years.

"We thank you for your loyalty, support, and the community spirit you have brought to the centre.

"We would like to acknowledge our team at Aura Tullamore that has worked incredibly hard to deliver exceptional service to our customers and we are deeply grateful for everything they have done to help us advance our vision of creating a Healthier Happier Ireland.

"We are grateful to Offaly County Council for their support over the years and we wish the new operator of Tullamore Leisure Centre all the best for the future."

As the changeover approaches, Coral Leisure said it will share further information with members and the public regarding the transition and the centre's services through its communication channels.

The company is "keen to establish a strong local presence and looks forward to working with the community to ensure the leisure centre continues to be a valued resource for the town".
