Edenderry student organises one day music festival

A brainstorming session in February has led to a transition year student at St Mary’s Secondary School in Edenderry organising a one day music event - Cabin Fever - this Saturday.

Sixteen-year-old Faye Duggan and her family were struggling to think of new ways to attract visitors to Highfield Golf and Country Club in Carbury when she hit on the idea of a mini music festival.

That idea has led to a one day event planned for Saturday, featuring seven bands performing from 3pm until after 11pm.

Bands playing on the day include Hogan, Ruaile Buaile, Red Empire, Big September, Jemson Green, V3 and Darragh Cullen Jnr.

Tickets are still available for those aged 16 and over, and will be available on the door from 2pm, for €25. VIP tickets meanwhile, offering better car parking, access to more areas and a better stage view, are available for €35. Food and drinks will be available from the clubhouse on the day.
