New Offaly group to hold climate café event this month

The Offaly Climate and Biodiversity Action Group will be holding a 'climate café' on Tuesday, August 19, at 7pm, in St Mary's Youth and Community Centre, Tullamore.

The recently-established group, which held its first public event in Tullamore Library last month, is encouraging people to come along to the free event.

The climate café "will be a relaxed and inclusive space" where people can have a chat over a cup of tea.

"The conversations will be wide-ranging. A positive focus will be placed on what we can do to get involved in climate action locally," said the group.

"We can all take action individually, but together we can achieve and inspire more collective climate action."
