 Recording stories for Heritage Week

As part of the celebrations for Heritage Week in August, recording sessions will take place across Offaly to document stories and folklore about the county.

Have you any stories or memories that you would like to share from your childhood for example? Do you know of any folklore, traditional cures or remedies that have been forgotten about?

Now is your chance to record stories and memories from your past for future generations. The resulting DVD will be launched at Edenderry Library on August 15 at 6pm.

Recording will take place at libraries as follows:

Edenderry: Saturday 14th July 10am-12.30pm.

Tullamore: Tuesday 10th July 5–7.30pm and Saturday 21st July 10am-12.30pm.

Birr: Wednesday 25th July 5-7.30pm and Saturday 28th July 10am-12.30pm.

Booking essential - please contact the library: Birr 057 9124950/ Edenderry 046 9731028/ Tullamore 057 9346832.
