Castlebarna Ladies Golf Club

Last Saturday was the close of Open Week with all competitions well supported throughout the week. On Wednesday our Lady Captain Mavis Scally and her husband Liam were the winners of the Mixed 12 Hole two-ball team event. Second were Patricia Mahon and James Mahon. May Madness starts this Wednesday from 5 p.m. and continues on Wednesday 13th. Ladies don"t forget to bring your non-golfing friends along and be introduced to the game with a golf lesson from a professional. The preliminary rounds of the singles match play are now in progress with matches to be played by 8th May. The first game in the South Meath Ladies Challenge Cup took place in Woodlands Golf Club on Bank Holiday Monday. This competition is played over five courses on five dates with the cup going to the club with the best overall score.Next outing is to Navan on Saturday 23rd May. Well done to team pairings of Jane and Anne, Sheila and Catherine, all of whom played well on the day. The team is managed by Eileen Wynne. Reminder to Ladies to bring your partner along to the Semi Open Mixed 2 Ball Event next Monday 11th May at 6.30 p.m. This is the second of these events this year.
