Offaly man to contest GAA 125 Quiz Final

Offaly man Peter Guing will be among the contestants in tonight's All-Ireland 125 Quiz Final at the GAA Museum in Croke Park. Guing from Edenderry is the top qualifier, claiming the first spot in the final by answering 54 out of 55 tough GAA questions correctly. Guing will battle it out in the final against finalists from Wexford (including county hurling legend Tony Doran) Cork and Kerry on Friday 18th September. The All-Ireland 125 Quiz Champion will be presented with the All-Ireland trophy by GAA president Christy Cooney, along with tickets to the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Final, dinner and a night in the four star Croke Park Hotel. The champion will also make a guest appearance on a special live show of RTÉ's The Sunday Game on the night of the GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Final. With Jimmy Magee as quizmaster, audience tickets for the final night cost €10; and proceeds go to the designated GAA Charity CARI.
