Sons Of Anarchy star Katey Sagal celebrated 40 years of sobriety with a party.
The actress, 76, shared photos of herself in a white, short-sleeved dress as she blew out candles on a cake to mark the milestone.
Alongside the photos, she wrote: “Me… last night… celebrating 40 years of continuous SOBRIETY, surrounded by like-minded friends, my amazing husband, and these 3 loves of my life. Grateful beyond… it’s a wonderful life.”
Sagal is married to Kurt Sutter, who created the TV series Sons Of Anarchy, in which she starred in. The couple, who married in 2004, are parents to daughter Esme, 19.
The actress is also a mother to Sarah Grace, 32, and Jackson, 30, with her ex-husband Jack White, whom she was married to from 1993 to 2000.
Sagal previously said she started using drugs and alcohol at the age of 15.
Speaking to her former Married… With Children co-star Christina Applegate on the MeSsy podcast, she said: “I’m a person that for probably the first 30 years of my life, didn’t deal (with) shit.
“I medicated myself to where I didn’t really deal with my emotion. My parents died, I had cancer in my 20s, I mean, a bunch of shit happened, and I didn’t really deal with it.
“And then, you know, I stopped medicating myself, and now I have no choice but to deal with it.”
Sagal added that she has an “open dialogue” with her youngest child, Esme, about alcohol.
She said: “We talk a lot about, you know, do not do drugs, period. She’s grown up in a household of no alcohol.
“So, you know, we’re gonna let her try some alcohol before she goes to college.
“Only because I don’t think the first experience should be at a frat party with a keg or whatever.”
Along with Married… With Children and Sons Of Anarchy, Sagal is also known for starring in the sitcom 8 Simple Rules and voicing the character of Leela in Futurama.
