Offaly youngster heads for European eventing championships

Offaly teenager Maeve Deverell will represent Ireland at a major eventing competition this week.

A fifth year student at Tullamore College, Maeve is part of the Team Ireland squad for the FEI Eventing European Championships for Juniors in Segersjö, Sweden with 'Annaharvey Dunowen'.

The event is due to start tomorrow and runs until August 30.

Maeve also competed in the FEI Dressage European Championships for Juniors in Olomouc, Czechia in July. She has represented Ireland at cross country events, and has been invited to the Horse Sport Ireland Celebration of Excellence awards ceremony later this year.

Maeve is supported in her sporting journey by Tullamore-based Annaharvey Farm and Physio Central, along with TRM Equine Nutrition and Team Ireland sponsors Equiere, Dubarry, Berney Bros and Bucas.
