Colin Farrell spotted in Offaly filming of Netflix's Bad Bridgets

Hollywood actor Colin Farrell has been spotted filming in Offaly for the forthcoming Netflix feature Bad Bridget.

Inspired by the book ‘Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women’ by academics Elaine Farrell and Leanne McCormick, the film will follow two young Irish sisters adventures when they seeks a new life in New York.

The cast is led by the previously announced Emilia Jones (CODA) and Alison Oliver (Saltburn).

Also joining the cast are Steve Coogan (Philomena), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Himesh Patel (Yesterday), Niamh Algar (The Iris Affair).

"Whenever a film shoot is spotted in Offaly, there are always rumours that Colin Farrell is filming. This time the rumours were true," FilmOffaly said.

The film is primarily based in Northern Ireland but has been using locations south of the border for a number of scenes.
