Renowned Rhode artist to present glass art workshop for local teens

A chance for Offaly youngsters to get involved in creative glass painting is on offer at Tullamore Community & Family Resource Centre this weekend.

The 'Teen Halloween Glass Art Workshop' will take place on Saturday, October 31 (11am to 2pm) and will be presented by contemporary artist and sculptor Michelle O'Donnell, who hails from Rhode and works out of Glasshammer Studios.

Anyone aged between 12 and 15 is invited to attend and make their interest known by calling into the Resource Centre in Tullamore.

The event will be put on by Laois and Offaly Education & Training Board and it said the workshop gives participants a chance to 'create, chill and get inspired' with Michelle O'Donnell.

All materials will be provided to participants who will get the opportunity to learn professional glass painting techniques and create their own unique artworks to take home. Refreshments will also be provided for participants.
