Local musical society begin preparations for annual Christmas concert

Clara Musical Society kicks-off rehearsals this week for its annual Christmas concert.

'The Magic of Christmas' will be held at the society's St Brigid's R.C. Church on Monday, December 21 and rehearsals are due to begin this Wednesday, November 4 at 8pm.

Children's rehearsals will start on an upcoming date to be announced by the musical society. The event will feature both classic and modern Christmas songs, and the choir will feature adults, teens and children. The annual Clara Musical Society Christmas concert is one of the most cherished fixtures in the local festive programme and, as always, will be expected to receive huge support from the local community.

In announcing the start of rehearsals, the musical society said it 'would love to welcome some new faces' to its group, and that anyone interested in becoming involved in the Christmas concert should 'come along to rehearsals'.
