Tullamore-based recycling company goes pink for breast cancer and raises over €6,000
Tullamore-based KMK Metals Recycling recently joined with colleagues from neighbouring businesses for a very special 'Pink Break' in support of Breast Cancer Ireland.
The company said there was a fantastic atmosphere on the day, with events held at both of its premises, in Tullamore and Kilbeggan, on Friday, October 30.
Everyone was encouraged to wear a splash of pink and take some time out to enjoy fresh coffee from The Little Coffee Hut and delicious donuts from Offbeat Donuts.
Thanks to the generosity of staff and our neighbouring businesses, an impressive €570 was raised on the day. KMK Metals Recycling was delighted to build on this support with a further €6,000 company donation to Breast Cancer Ireland.
The Pink Break was a wonderful opportunity to bring everyone together while raising awareness and supporting the vital work carried out by Breast Cancer Ireland.
Kurt Kyck, Managing Director of KMK Metals Recycling, said: "It was fantastic to see everyone get behind our Pink Break and support such an important cause.
"Cancer affects so many individuals and families, including people within our own communities. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and donated."
KMK Metals Recycling has also separately donated €1,000 to the Irish Cancer Society, supporting a Pink Lunch fundraiser in Drogheda.
The company expressed its gratitude to everyone who wore pink, donated, joined in the Pink Break and helped make the day such a success.
