Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund reopens for applications

Applications have reopened for community groups to make submissions for funding from the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund.

The fund, which was set up by the Murphy family and the Ashling Murphy Memorial committee has as its main objective “the further enhancement, development and advancements of the traditional Irish arts, culture and heritage for young people”.

Through the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund, the committee strives to support initiatives that promote and preserve these vital aspects of Irish life for future generations.

The Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund was established on the first anniversary of her tragic death and to honour her strong legacy as an outstanding musician, sportsperson, educator and her contribution to Irish culture and heritage.

The committee has announced that all applications for Q3 2026 will close in mid-November 2026 with decisions expected to be issued in December 2026.

The committee has also advised that all applicants to the Ashling Murphy Memorial Fund, must ensure that their proposed project or initiative aligns with one or more of the Fund’s objectives.
