Coastal protection project wins runner-up prize for Kilbeggan firm at engineering awards

Kilbeggan based Midland Mould and Engineering came home with a runnesr-up prize from the Irish Steel Awards at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on Friday.

Midland Mould and Engineering was shortlisted for its Coastal Protection project.

Paul Finnerty, operations manager, said: “We had a great night on Friday at the Irish Steel Awards. While we didn’t quite get the win we were hoping for, we were delighted to come away with the runner-up spot in the highly competitive Engineering and Fabricated Assemblies category.

“To be shortlisted alongside such a strong field of projects, all deserving of recognition, was an achievement in itself – to finish as runners-up is a fantastic result and a real credit to the hard work, skill and dedication of the team here at Midland Mould and Engineering.

“I’m absolutely delighted for everyone involved and proud to see our work recognised at a national level. Who knows, perhaps we’ll go one step further next year.”
