CCPC warns customers to stop using specific Aldi hair dryers
Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) have issued a warning to consumers to immediately stop using some hair dryers sold by Aldi.
The products are Ambiano Ionic Hair dryers and were sold by Aldi in Ireland between August and September 2025. There were around 5,400 affected hair dryers sold in Ireland.
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock and fire because the power cord can become damaged over time, possibly exposing live wires or overheating.
The affected products were sold in black, yellow, white and orange but can be identified by these specific codes.
- 4061462195075 – Black
- 4061462195211 – White
- 4061462195310 – Yellow
- 4061462195372 – Orange
Adele O’Sullivan, Director of Market Surveillance at the CCPC, said: “Anyone who has one of these hair dryers should stop using it immediately and return it to their nearest Aldi store for a full refund.
“We urge consumers not to take any risks with their safety. Even if the hair dryer appears to be in good condition, it is important that they stop using it and return it for a refund."
