Clara school launches pre-Christmas walking club

Scoil Phroinsiais Naofa in Clara has announced a six-week walking club for parents and grandparents interested in improving fitness in the build-up to Christmas.

The 'Steps to Christmas Walking Club' will begin at the school parent room this Friday, November 6 at 10am, and will run for a six-week period.

The school encourages as many parents and grandparents to get involved in the initiative, saying that it presents people with “a great opportunity to get moving, meet other parents, enjoy some fresh air, and feel your best for Christmas”.

No fitness level is required, the school said, while participants are encouraged to bring buggy's, if needed, and to enjoy a coffee together afterwards.
